On 27 April the pet adoption center of Sayreville (SPAC) hosted their second “Animal Reiki I” class year, and it was a huge success.  Reiki is a form of holistic healing Japan beneficial to humans and animals.

The cost of this one-day course is $ 200 with 50% of the proceeds are donated to the pet adoption center of Sayreville.  Fees include all class materials, course books, Reiki I attunement, and Reiki I certification.

“We have seven students and raised $ 700 for the SPAC, “said Donna Ryan, Coordinator of the event of Reiki. “All the students are very eager to help support SPAC.”

While the classroom focuses primarily on Reiki for animals, a demonstration of the proper way to share Reiki with humans are also offered. Each student received a Reiki attunement them I allowed them to now share Reiki with humans and animals.  Each student also received their certificates in animal Reiki I. 

After their attunement, students have the opportunity to practice skill learn new Reiki on some animals.  There are two kittens owned by Donna Ryan named Hobbes and fire. There are also two dogs that are currently residents of SPAC and available for adoption.  Mamacita is a nine year old Boxer with natural ears and tail.  Mamacita is joined by adorable eight weeks old, mixed breed dog.
